Sodium Butyrate

Specification:

an auto-ignition temperature of 425.0°C, and a melting point of 250.0~253.0°C. It is generally white to off-white, a hygroscopic powder, like fluff, with a special smell like rancid cheese. It is easily soluble in water. The pH of the aqueous solution is alkaline and stable to light and heat. Sodium butyrate dissociates into butyrate (C4H7O2-) and sodium ions (Na+) in the animal Chemicalbook body. Butyric acid is a type of short-chain fatty acid that is amphiphilic to water and lipids, and is more lipophilic. It is not easily decomposed when the pH is 4 to 6. Therefore, butyric acid can help animals avoid the acidic environment after ingestion and play a role in the cecum and colon. The final metabolites of butyrate are ketone bodies and carbon dioxide, which provide about 75% of the energy for intestinal mucosal cells.

Formula:

Sodium butyrate products are added to animal feeds to act as intestinal mucosal nutrients, electrolyte balance regulators, gastrointestinal microecological regulators, compound acidifiers, flavoring agents, food attractants, etc.
