Tributyrate composed of 3 molecules of butyric acid and 1 molecule of glycerol is a short-chain fatty acid ester. It is insoluble in water, easily soluble in organic solvents such as ether and ethanol, and has a low melting point and a high boiling point. Its physical and chemical properties (melting point: -75°C, boiling point: 305~310°C), so its physical and chemical properties are basically unchanged under conditions such as high temperature, light and granulation, and it is suitable for the current production processes of various feed processing.
